Setting the Gateway Address
The default route gateway is the IP address of a router of last resort to which packets are sent when the PortMaster has no routing information for a packet. The default route gateway is also the destination address that the PortMaster selects when it cannot locate the destination of a packet on the local Ethernet segment.
The gateway must not be the address of any interface or the PortMaster itself, but it must be an address on a network attached to the PortMaster.
