| Type | A one-octet field coded in binary and hexadecimal that identifies the type of BAP datagram packet. See Datagram Types. |
| Identifier | A one-octet field, in binary code, that aids in matching requests and indications with responses. |
| Length | A two-octet field, in binary code, that indicates
the length of the packet in bytes and the packet type.
Note - Octets outside of the range of the length field should be ignored. |
| Data | A data field that is variable in length and usually contains a list of zero or more BAP options that the sender is trying to transmit. |
| Response Code | Only present in Response datagrams, an eight-octet field, in binary code, that indicates the request or indication command is valid and was successfully received. See Response Code Values. |
