Entering the Phone Number
In the Phone Number window, enter a telephone number for the location you are creating and select the method of dialing. If you need a prefix to dial out, such as 9, include this in your phone number. Enter only numbers for the phone number; for example, 5551234.
(Optional) After you enter the phone number to dial, you can select one of the following dialing methods:
Dial with analog modem service
Select this dialing method when the PortMaster uses analog modem service for dialing out to the specified location. |
Dial using Data Over Voice |
Select this dialing method to force a data-over-voice call on an outbound ISDN connection to a specified dial-out location. Data over voice is supported for inbound and outbound ISDN connections. The PortMaster automatically accepts inbound voice calls and treats them as data calls. |
