Configure Synchronous Ports

To view, edit, reset, and refresh the configuration of synchronous wide area network (WAN) ports on an active INA module, click Ports==>Sync Ports.

Synchronous WAN ports are used for high-speed dedicated connections between two remote local area networks (LANs). Once a connection is established between two remote sites, a wide area network (WAN) is created.

Synchronous WAN connections takes place over dedicated leased lines, Frame Relay connections, or switched 56Kbps lines. Connection rates can range from 9600bps to 1.544Mbps (T1). INA modules support any of these connection types that use one or more synchronous ports. For most applications, a dedicated line connects two INA modules, which are located on separate remote networks.
