Office Router Wizard 2.0 Release NoteIntroductionThe new Office Router Wizard 2.0 is now available for PortMaster(R) ISDN Office Router models OR-U, OR-ST, and OR-AP. This Office Router Wizard runs in the Java environment. Follow its step-by-step instructions to configure a brand-new Office Router unit as a functional ISDN router for Internet access. The most powerful feature of the Office Router Wizard is its ease of use. Once you enter ISDN information into the Wizard, the Office Router is ready to connect to the Internet or to route to the destination network. You do not need to define the IP address of the destination gateway. Launching with an IP AddressIf your Office Router OR-U, OR-ST, or OR-AP has an IP address defined, launch the Wizard and then follow the instructions on the Wizard to log in to the unit.
Launching without an IP AddressIf the unit does not have an IP address defined, make sure that both the Office Router and the Wizard reside on the same network before launching the Wizard. The Office Router Wizard creates a BOOTP server and provides the Office Router with the IP address that you entered. The Wizard then connects to the Office Router and continues the configuration process. On a small network, the BOOTP process can take 1 or 2 minutes. However, on a large and more sophisticated network, the process can take 10 minutes or longer.
Configuring Multiple Office RoutersThe Wizard can configure one Office Router at a time. If you have several Office Router units without IP addresses, you must turn on one unit at a time for the BOOTP server to work. Once the unit is completely configured, turn on the next one. However, if all the Office Router units on the network have IP addresses defined, you can use the Wizard to access any one of them to configure the ISDN line.

System RequirementsThe Office Router Wizard runs on any platform that supports Java Development Kit (JDK) or Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.1.4 or higher. Currently, JDK 1.1 or JRE 1.1 is available for the following platforms:

Installing the Office Router Wizard on Windows 95 or NT
Limitations in Office Router Wizard 2.0Only on-demand and continuous dialing are supported. Manual dialing is not supported. The Office Router Wizard creates a location for dialing out only. It can not create a user entry for dialing in. The location created by the Office Router Wizard initially sets the destination address to be negotiated. If the ISP's server is also configured to negotiate the address, an IPCP request or NAK loop occurs and the connection fails. The Office Router Wizard does not create input filter rules that allow access to internal servers. The Office Router Wizard does not support a network address translator (NAT). The Windows installation does not always create the shortcut in the Start menu. If the ORWizard does not appear to launch, there may be a problem with the run script orwizard or orwizard.bat. Open this file and verify that the current directory ("/./") is not in the -cp argument. Example: jre -cp /home/usr/Lucent/ORWizard/./orwizard.jar ORWizard $* ^ BAD - REMOVEOn WindowsNT systems, the links shown in the help pages do not work. This problem will be fixed when Java 1.1.6 becomes widely available.
